Thanks to a grant from Fund For Teachers, I'll have the chance to live out my dream of learning to play the djembe and balafon in the Gambia this summer.

Hi crazy lady! By now you should be in the Gambia or at least approaching it by way of a tiny death plane. I'm so proud of you for taking this huge journey, and I know the CAPCS kiddos are going to benefit so much from everything you learn. I can't wait to see pictures read your posts. I'm so excited for you!!!
Happy Trails to you, Amanda. My young friend who visited Senegal last year said to be sure to take your malaria meds, and swat the mosquitos away as best you can!
