After some hard work searching multiple airline booking sites, i seemed to have booked a flight to Africa this morning. I was very excited this morning also because the one that came up this morning has me traveling through JFK and not Atlanta (yay) and also that the trip time was down from 17+ hours to 10+ hours. (I still can't quite wrap my brain around the fact that it will take 2 days to travel.)
Interestingly enough, immediately after booking this flight, i attended an in school African drumming/dancing performance. While there was this man in a costume on stilts that scared our students to tears, the performances were amazing and i got really excited thinking about how i will be learning to improve my own skills.
Here's to flying across the ocean~

a couple of comments, one I love the capcs shirt photo - are those the stairs from cafe citron in th background. Also, I am super excited to read this as you go along in your adventure. Of course I am a only a little bitter that I have to sit through a week of training and newbies with out you. :(
